Days of Russian Culture in Armenia
October 21, 2014 Yerevan, Armenia |
Under the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation the artists of the St. Petersburg Masterskaya Theatre performed on the stage of the Armenian Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of A.A. Spendiarov, located in the heart of Yerevan. Masterskaya is a professional drama theatre that grew out of the course of the students who did not wish to part with their Master, Grigory Kozlov. Within just four years the theatre participated in many Russian and international festivals where it collected a number of awards, the Special Prize of Golden Soffit, the highest theatrical award of St. Petersburg, is amongst them.
That evening the artists of Masterskaya took the audience on a musical adventure named Bremenskie Muzicanty (Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten). The play, based on the fairy tale by the Grimm Brothers and the famous Soviet cartoon, told the young visitors and their parents about love, friendship and art. The audience was not only watching what was happening. They were able to take part in the event and help the Princess and the Troubadour find their happiness. They were presented with a bright interactive show with music, songs and dances.
